This small book tells the story of the great Trinca-Fortes through the eyes of his best friend. In his memories, we go back 500 years and learn about the incredible life of the man who was the greatest poet of the Portuguese language, through his adventures and misadventures. From his childhood and youth, guided by his firm purpose of immortality, the power of dreams and persistence in achieving dreams is revealed. Finally, this story takes the form of a tribute and heartfelt homage to Luís de Camões, the Prince of Poets, on the fifth centenary of his death, to present the man behind the words to a younger audience.

BIOGRAPHY: Sílvia Cunha is a teacher for the 3rd cycle and secondary education, passionate about words since always! She holds a degree in Classical Studies, a master's in Portuguese Studies, and a PhD in Literature from the University of Aveiro. She loves to share with her students how fascinating books can be — even those that, at first glance, seem difficult. An insatiable reader, curious traveler, and fan of crafts, she found in motherhood the perfect inspiration to transform literature into something magical and accessible for the little ones.
