"The book that didn't want to be read" is the story of a book that didn't want to be read and, for that reason, invented tricks to keep itself closed. Dear reader, dare to open it, resist its attempts to stay closed, and show it that a read book is not a forgotten book!
Unlike all other stories, this book inverts the rules of the game and starts from a very peculiar premise: the protagonist is the book itself, and it has a firm desire not to be opened or read! True to its principles, whenever someone tries to flip through it, it invents tricks to stay closed. However, when bought by a Mother and taken to a house - where an imposing shelf full of read books that consider themselves very important resides - it will witness the growth of that family, understand the magical value of sharing, and finally discover its true purpose. It is a tender story that speaks about vulnerability, affection, and the importance of reading.
Entry is free, but bring your favorite book to share with us!
BIOGRAPHY: Helena Vieira was born on December 11, 1972, in Angola, from where she returned at the age of two. She grew up in the medieval town of Trancoso, in a large family, with the close presence of her grandparents. It was in this family environment that she realized that stories are powerful tools for conveying values and creating lasting memories. She is the mother of three children and a teacher of Portuguese and History and Geography of Portugal for the 2nd cycle at EB 2, 3 Jacinto Correia, in Lagoa, and storytelling, besides being part of her daily life, is a passion.
