The experience of spirituality is an intrinsic reality of being human and transcends all times. Lagos has been one of the territories where the connection between Man and the Divine, the Universe, and oneself has been felt intensely and uniquely for millennia. Faith and religiosity have been important anchors in personal life and within the communities. The session calls for reflection on the inhabitants, the spaces, and the quests for a desired inner harmony, materialized and present among us.

BIOGRAPHY: Artur de Jesus holds a degree in History from the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and is a Senior History Technician at the Câmara Municipal de Lagos. He is the author of seven books and several articles on Local History and has actively worked with students and residents of the municipalities of Vila do Bispo and Lagos since 2001. Currently, he develops various projects with the Gil Eanes and Júlio Dantas school groups, as well as a series of thematic guided tours aimed at helping all participants to know Lagos in its many facets.
