The CIIPC - Centre for Research and Information on the Heritage of Cacela will host another edition of the Village Almanac initiative on 22 September at 14:30, dedicated to the theme "Around the Figs".
The activity includes a fig and fig-star filling circle, a typical delicacy of the region, aimed at promoting social interaction and sharing memories.
Part of the European Heritage Days, themed "Revive, Resist, Reimagine", this initiative takes place at the CIIPC, in the former Santa Rita Primary School, and is open to the local community and the general public, with prior registration required.
The European Heritage Days challenge participating countries to create programmes with activities that raise awareness among European citizens about the value of cultural heritage and the need to preserve it, reinforcing cultural identity, collective memory, and affirmation of our shared, diverse heritage.
