"Alameda das Artes" now takes place on Saturday mornings

The Municipality of Portimão promotes Sundays with art in the city centre.

From September, every other Saturday morning, from 9:00am to 1:00pm, the Municipality of Portimão will promote cultural dynamism in urban spaces and encourage artistic creation, specifically in Praça da República, the city centre area also known as Alameda.

The Alameda das Artes will be temporarily relocated starting 26 September, as follows:

26 September – Jardim 1.º de Dezembro

10 October – In front of the Câmara Municipal

24 October – Largo da Lota

This concept of an open-air arts space offers artistic presentations ranging from painting and photography to sculpture and music, contributing to the appreciation and enjoyment of this square by residents and visitors.

The initiative is part of promoting cultural activities in public spaces, reinforcing the presence of art in the city and fostering connections between artists, the local community, and visitors.
