Meia Praia is the Algarve stop of the national tour of the project "... and we have the people..." - all the sounds of the first radio montage of April 25, an initiative promoted by the Commemorative Commission of the 50th Anniversary of April 25 that brings this unique radio document to a different latitude each month for a community exercise of collective listening. The memory of SAAL intersects with the waves of radio, in a unique session with the special participation of António Jorge Gonçalves. From photographs and other archival images, the illustrator will draw live, and the drawings will be projected on the houses of Bairro 25 de Abril.

In this session, hosted by the last resident-builders from the early days "right here near Lagos" - and also by their children and grandchildren - the neighbors of Lagoa, the Algarve residents, and all who live or visit the region are invited to sit outdoors, among the houses, to listen to historical sounds recorded on April 25, 1974, by Pedro Laranjeira (1945-2015), Paulo Coelho, and Adelino Gomes, who captured the events from Terreiro do Paço to Largo do Carmo. It is a unique opportunity to see and hear in the Algarve the sounds of the Revolution, with the sands of Meia Praia echoing the memory of Zeca Afonso's song, and the bricks filmed by António da Cunha Telles serving as a canvas for António Jorge Gonçalves's drawing.

Before the session, there will be a conversation about the memory of SAAL and the challenges of housing today, in the year marking the 50th anniversary of the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic and the 50th anniversary of the first free local elections. Conversation with the presence of José Bartolomeu (president of the Residents' Association of Bairro 25 de Abril), Helena Roseta (architect), Manuel Dias (former coordinator of the Local Technical Team of the Center - SAAL Algarve), Miguel Reimão Costa (architect and researcher), and Hugo Pereira (president of the Municipality of Lagos).
