Joana the Ladybug Only Has One Spot

All ladybugs are different. There are ladybugs of all colors, sizes, and shapes. But one thing is certain: all ladybugs have many spots. All except Joana the Ladybug, who was born with only one spot. Joana the Ladybug suffers bullying at school, is questioned about her abilities, but she will show everyone that it doesn't matter how many spots you have, but rather having a good heart. In fact, we are all different, some more than others!

Joana Raminhos da Silveira is a PhD student in Multimedia in Education and a Research Fellow at the Foundation for Science and Technology. Her research focuses on inclusive digital educational games. She is the author of the children's book “Joana the Ladybug Only Has One Spot” and a content creator on the page @comdefeitodefabrico, where she talks about disability without drama. She is the mother of Luísa and manager of Leia.
