43rd Folklore Festival | Calvário in Party

The Calvário Festival Grounds will host the 🌾43rd Calvário Folklore Festival🎶 on August 8th at 21:00, and entry is free.

The Folklore Festival of the Folkloric Ranch of Calvário is one of the most important events of traditional popular culture in the municipality of Lagoa and a reference in the national folklore scene.

Held for 43 years in the village of Calvário, it promotes the gathering of groups from various regions of Portugal, preserving and showcasing the traditions, customs, music, dance, and typical costumes that constitute the cultural identity of our country.

Throughout the festival, groups from north to south of the country present traditional dances, music, songs, and costumes, providing the audience with a unique opportunity to know and appreciate the richness and diversity of Portuguese folklore.

Marking six decades of dedication to the preservation and promotion of Algarvian ethnography and folklore, the 43rd Folklore Festival of Rancho do Calvário reinforces the commitment to keep folklore traditions alive for future generations.
