As part of the global company Ingka Centres, MAR Shopping Algarve promotes play as an essential tool for learning. ‘Dominguinhos’ is an educational project that offers a set of free activities every Sunday at 11:00, in the children's area on Floor 0, next to the Centroxogo/IKEA store. The cultural programming includes playful and educational experiences for children and families in the community, promoting development and social interaction while reinforcing the concept of Meeting Place.
In June, ‘Dominguinhos’ is inspired by popular festivals to transform tradition into a creative and participatory experience. Throughout the month, children are invited to sing, dance, create, and play to the rhythm of the marches and manjericos, exploring popular culture in a playful way adapted to their universe.
‘Fitinhas’ | SpongeBob (June 6) SpongeBob and Patrick embark on a chaotic and unlikely adventure to save their underwater world. Along the way, they face eccentric villains, absurd situations, and tests of their friendship. Amid laughs and nonsense, SpongeBob proves that courage, optimism, and a pure heart can make all the difference.
This will be an adapted cinema session, designed for children and youth with functional diversity to enjoy the experience comfortably and safely. The room's environment will be adjusted with lower sound, softened light, a small break, and freedom of movement, creating a more inclusive space.
This initiative is aimed at children aged 3 to 12 and their companions (maximum of two adults and five people per group) and starts at 10:30. For each session, 450 tickets are available, which can be picked up at the information desk, from Monday to Friday, during MAR Shopping Algarve's operating hours, always in the week the session takes place. The access regulations will be available at marshopping.com.
